Stress and Tearfulness

Feelings of pressure and anxiety can result from too much stress and tearfulness can often result. Stressing too much can mean dealing with a myriad of symptoms ranging from headaches to insomnia to depression. You can isolate yourself from others and feel confused. Too much stress can be difficult on your mind and body, especially if you have no means of relieving your stress.

People under too much stress can become anxiety-ridden and easily upset or panicky. Women with severe premenstrual syndrome can be prone to tearfulness, and premenstrual syndrome is due to the amount of hormones and changes her body currently undergoes. Tearfulness can also be a symptom of too much stress as there is also an influx of hormones in your body during times of stress. If you start panicking and do not know what to do you can become tearful and upset. Stress and tearfulness can also occur during times of depression when you feel hopeless and overwhelmed. Feelings brought on by stress can potentially lead to tearfulness.

Stress management is the best way to stop tearfulness. By reducing your stress, you can reduce the possibility of dealing with tearfulness. You can relax your body, mind, and put yourself into a better frame of mind, helping to release yourself from the fight or flight response, as well as other stress symptoms that can cause you to become tearful. Even muscle pain from stress might be enough to put you into a tearful state. Some people are more prone to tearfulness than others, but the solution will always be the same.

If stress management techniques do not work, you may have to find a therapist in order to help you reduce your stress, and if you find that your job is your biggest stressor, it may be in your best interests to change jobs. No matter what the case is, only by relieving some of the stress you feel can you free yourself from tearfulness.
