Stress and Anxiety
Too much stress and anxiety can become prevalent. Anxiety is often the result of too much stress; you feel fear, apprehension, or worry in large amounts that can be difficult to halt or reduce. Anxiety is not exactly the same as stress. Stress is not always negative, nor is one stressful thing going to be stressful to a different person. It can make you focus closer, be more productive, and some people tend to thrive on stress, such as in sports, utilizing the concentration and adrenaline stress offers to function better.
Anxiety is the opposite. It can stop a person in his or her tracks and is closer to being described as an extreme form of stress. Where you may not have had a headache during a stressful situation before, when you are faced with a different situation and have to deal with anxiety, then you are quite likely to have a headache, as well as other physical and mental symptoms. Anxiety is stronger, more crippling, and can become so extreme they are recognized as disorders in people. This is why learning how to cope with stress is so important; you can keep from developing anxiety as well as too many problems that come with it.
Take stock of what may be causing the stress and anxiety you feel. By knocking out unnecessary stressors – such as small problems you have constantly worried about and transformed into large problems that do not exist – you can reduce or completely relieve your stress and keep it to a minimum at least. Small amounts of stress from time to time are bound to happen as it is, so keeping from dealing with large amounts over an extended period of time will significantly reduce your chances of developing anxiety.
