Stress Toys

Stress toys are great stress busters. Have you ever felt stressed to the point of wanting to punch a punching bag or squash something until it explodes? Sounds like you need a stress relieving toy.

There any number of toys on the market created to help you release tension and preoccupy your mind with happier or more relaxing thoughts. Stress toys often come in fun, kid-like shapes and bright colors, sometimes even a happy face or two. A quick look online and you will be on your way to stress toy heaven.

Do you remember Slinkies? How about noodle balls or Koosh balls? Plastic or metallic tangles that twist and turn in fun ways that can entertain you for a few hours? Simply watching and listening to these items can bring back childhood memories of times when stress was practically non-existent. If you never experienced these toys, then now is a great time to do so. The color, texture, and movement of these toys can have almost a hypnotic effect as you play with them and watch them twist, turn, clink, and jiggle in your hands. There are other stress toys such as magic loops that shrink and twist into different shapes, complete with colorful beads to enhance its look.

Even small toys such as army men or old cartoon characters like Gumby, Mr. Bill, and other bendable figures can help you to de-stress. You can goof off at your desk or keep them in a pocket or purse to remind you that happiness doesn’t have to be hard to reach.

There are some toys that are made for stress, such as stretchable and squashable toys. Items made of pliable rubber, foam, and flexible material are created just for people who have the need to exert stress through their hands by pulling or pounding on something. Computer failing again? There are inflatable hammers you can beat it with and be content that you aren’t doing it any real damage. Don’t think that stress is something you have to deal with – there are plenty of toys out there waiting to assist you in telling stress to beat it.
