Stress Relief Games
Stress relief games can be used during times that a stress relief toy is not doing the job. These can be done both inside and outside depending upon what you prefer to do and what you are able to do at the time.
Inside stress games are often used in an office or at work when there is no option of going outside. Many of these games are online games that can be downloaded or played directly online. Games such as Minesweeper, FreeCell, Solitaire, or small Flash games you can play are all ways of helping you relieve your stress. They help to occupy your mind by giving it another task instead of focusing endlessly on one thought that you may not be able to change. The trick is to avoid falling back into your worries once you have finished playing your games.
Other indoor stress relief games can be more physical and give you time away from the comuter, especially if that is where you find yourself most of the day. You can invest in a Rubik’s cube, find someone to play chess or checkers with, darts, crossword puzzles, sudoku, and so on. You can spend some time relaxing as you play these games, giving yourself the chance to concentrate on something else for a while.
Outdoor games have the same effect, as well as giving you a chance for a bit of exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. The activity can help you feel better and think more clearly and logically as opposed to being stuck in a room or at a desk all day. Try playing a relaxing game like tennis, golf, or soccer, and make sure you and your teammate(s) or opponent(s) do not take the game too seriously. Play it for fun, not for competition. This is especially true if competition makes you stressed; no need to add on to your current problem.
