A Lack of Energy from Stress
Stress can cause a lack of energy. Anyone who has ever stressed is aware of that. Stress can mean poor sleep, feeling achy, getting headaches, and so on. Worrying over and over about the same things can be exhausting; you can even find yourself dealing with fatigue because of stress. When it comes to exercising, you may be a regular exerciser, but when too much stress falls upon your shoulders, you may feel too worn out to bother with exercise. It might be more comforting to sit on the couch with a bag of chips to snack on. Comforting? Possible. Healthy for your needs? No.
Lacking in energy is due to the heightened state your body is put in; faster heart rate, increased blood pressure, and the desire to either run away or start fighting. But you can’t exactly do either one, so your body simply remains that way, adrenaline pumping and hormones racing. All that energy churns around in your body without a proper outlet, leaving you irritated and later on, tired. Exercise can be a great way to get rid of the pent up energy caused by stress. If you already have a lack of energy from your stress, try eating healthier and taking the time to relax in a stress busting way. Play a game, meditate, or utilize some other stress reducing technique. By releasing some of your stress, you may be able to keep it down long enough to get some of your energy back.
Initially, your stress will have you revved up, but prolonged amounts will eventually wear you down. This is why figuring out a good stress buster for yourself can be important. You can help stop your stress in its tracks before it gets to be too much, draining you of all your energy.
