ENTJ Under Stress

An ENTJ under stress needs to feel like they are regaining control. ENTJs have a high regard for knowledge and prefer structure and order to spontaneity. ENTJs are natural leaders and do not mind taking such a role, whereas other personality types who also have good leadership skills may prefer to avoid using them. However, while the ENTJ enjoys order, routine can become an annoyance to them, as will detail-oriented tasks. Confident and focused, an ENTJ is often a very career-focused individual.

Problems around the ENTJ personality type has a great deal to do with feelings. ENTJs are not prone to fully acknowledge or discuss his or her feelings. Instead, the ENTJ may simply brush them off or consider them to be weaknesses. This can cause clouded judgment and a deep-seeded cling to buried emotions that can develop into larger issues later on.

ENTJs may leap to conclusions before fully realizing the consequences and failing to hear out others when it comes to points of view and other, different ideas about a concept. Instead, the ENTJ under stress may be argumentative, dictatorial, and harsh in their demand for results and the overcoming of obstacles. Too much self-confidence can put others off, and when people who normally help and support the ENTJ either at his or her job or in life begin to drift off due to the ENTJ’s behavior, the ENTJ can then stress about losing control. They can then focus even more on their goal even if it becomes increasingly difficult to achieve. They can become compulsive, focusing on tasks they have control over, whether it is cleaning or some other menial chore. The ENTJ needs people who understand his or her personality type, but even when an ENTJ gets too controlling, even those around may not be able to help.
