ENFJ Under Stress
If you are a ENFJ under stress its usually caused by how your interactions with other people are going. Having an interest in people, harmony, structure, and enjoying creativity, loyalty, and helping others may mean you have an Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging or ENFJ personality. Your people skills may be exceptional when compared to anyone else and have a great ability to persuade people, usually for the greater good.
From all the desire to enjoy and influence people, when it comes to being alone, ENFJs can respond in different ways. Some may not function well on their own and become stressed, eventually dwelling on gloomy or uneasy thoughts, in which case they may avoid being alone as much as possible which may mean looking more toward the needs of others instead of themselves. Constantly putting others ahead of themselves can lead to neglect and possibly a confused sense of who they really are.
Conflict within a social group can put stress on an ENFJ. They wish for everyone to be happy, thus conflict can unbalance everything and the ENFJ may actively take the responsibility of fixing things even if it is not their duty to. Being too idealistic can lead to crushed hopes and additional stress; reality is not always going to cooperate with an ENFJ’s view of things. In such cases, an ENFJ may distance him or herself from the stressor as much as possible in order to try and continue keeping a sense of order and happiness. When too much stress is heaped upon them, ENFJs can suddenly release a flood of anger or emotional outbursts. The ENFJ under stress may also experience physical symptoms that can typically appear during periods of intense stress.
If you are friends with an ENFJ, you should try to remember they seek your happiness while possibly forgetting their own. You can help them feel even better by finding ways for them to remember their own needs in order to stay healthy and happy.
